The Ludlow pillow cover features the plush hand of fine European mohair velvet in a mesmerizing abstract pattern. Woven in the Netherlands, this delicious Brunschwig & Fils mohair velvet is a textural revelation. The pile is cut at different heights to form a pinwheel like design that appears lighter and darker depending on your viewing angle. The Ludlow velvet pillow will add sophistication and interest to contemporary and traditional decor alike. The cream color is a fantastic warm shade that will work with many color schemes. The Ludlow pillow is available in additional colors. Photographed on 19x19 cover (filled with 20x20 insert). Mohair velvet is made from the soft and durable fiber of angora goats, and long treasured as a luxury-class of velvets in the $150 to $300+/yard price range. Mohair velvets have a deep pile that you can sink into, and are particularly wonderful as a snuggling partner in fall and winter seasons. They are warm, hard wearing and display a natural sheen. Brunschwig & Fils is a textile firm with a long history of producing some of the world's finest fabrics. You'll find their fabrics used in the White House's 2015 renovation of the State Dining Room, not to mention in the Palace of Versailles. Designer fabric fiber content: 100% Mohair Pile with cotton backing (overall 49% mohair 51% cotton). ► The posted measurements are taken at the interior midpoints with the cover inside out.
► All covers are slightly contoured in shape and made with tapered corners for a professional appearance (no droopy corners!). For this reason, stated cover measurements are taken across the middle (not from corner to corner).
► Finished cover sizes are made smaller to best fit based on the insert size and fabric weight. For further explanation, please see this FAQ. The standard size chart is developed from actual testing on both feather and polyfil inserts commercially made and available on the market. The sizing is designed for your insert to fill out the cover completely for a full, plump appearance after stuffing in the manner shown in our shop’s product photos and like pillows in interior design and architecture magazines. The finished pillow should have a nice, defined outline yet be comfortable to sit upon.
► Please allow for +/- 3% tolerance on measurements. Minor variances do not affect the fit. Our pillow covers are human-made and measurements may not be exact down to the millimeter.
